Feelin' a little blue today

I'm not one to openly have an in depth conversation about politics, mainly because I don't know that much about it. From the very beginning I choose not to discuss controversial topics on my blog because this is a place where I want everyone to feel welcome, accepted and the topics I write about to be light and funny.

One of my favorite lines from a Ben Harper song is,

"My choice is what I choose to do and if I'm causing no harm it shouldn't bother you.

Your choice is who you choose to be and if your causin' no harm then you're alright with me."

This my friends, is how I choose to live my life. That being said, I have strong beliefs on some of the items that are being voted on.

I know many gay and lesbian couples, a few are even related to me. If there is one thing I feel the strongest about is equality. Everyone should marry who they love and if it happens to be of the same sex? who cares. Happiness can be hard to come by these days for some and not having that option is just unfair on so many levels. I also believe that a woman's body is her temple. She should have the right to do what she wants with it in the context of abortion.

I will not pass judgement on anyone who votes for who they best believe should run this country. My vote is for Barack Obama. This has taken courage for me to openly talk about what I believe in and anyone who reads this or chooses to post a comment, please I beg you respect is RULE NUMBER 1 and I will delete anything that I think is inappropriate or rude. Thank you.

This will be one of the most important decisions, so please take the time when making up your mind.. every single vote counts and will effect people in your community, state and country . Now, go bundle up and VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! so these darn annoying commercials will stop playing every .2 seconds!
